In creating The Commission, Tom duBois faced a new set of challenges: How would the ark have been built? How would God communicate instructions to Noah? What would have to be created for the journey to store food and to care for the animals? Watched over by an angel in the shadows, Noah is pensive and attentive as he listens to God's instructions at sunset, which represents the shortening of time until the rains begin. Some characters are engaged in creating baskets and vessels for the journey. Non-believers hover in the darkness as they ridicule Noah's efforts and trust in God -- the darkness representing their inability to see the truth. This is a serious and somber time as Noah and his family undertake this unique endeavor trusting completely that God will provide for them if they do His will.

This mint condition print is professionally matted and/or framed using acid-free, museum-quality archival materials in our own custom framing shop. The mats are 100% cotton rag that meets the Library of Congress standard for conservation. The mats are covered with UV light blocking plexiglass to protect the art from damaging UV light rays. The back of the frame is protected with a dust cover. The original certificate of authenticity is inserted into a pocket that is attached to the back of the frame. The braided picture wire is covered with vinyl and secured into the back of the frame. This print is ready to hang on your wall and comes complete with a recommended hanger. Our frames and matting are hand selected for each piece, we don't bulk buy and force the same frame onto all our prints.
